Title: Senior Systems Engineer /Architect (Onsite) Duration: Contract to Hire Location: Onsite (HQ: 13009 Marseille,France) Overview: Senior Systems Engineer / Architect (Onsite) will be responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. The successful candidate is self-motivated, forward-thinking, tech savvy, organized and has superior communication skills. It is an exciting opportunity for the right person to help direct and advance the many IT aspects of the company. Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications.
- Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.
- Strong working knowledge, and the ability to support and further the use of:
- NetApp SAN
- VMware and Virtual servers
- Windows Server - Azure AD
- Veeam backup and replication
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Meraki Router / Switches / Wireless AP / WatchGuard VPN
- Disaster recovery, implement and monitor solutions
- Linux
- Data Center
- Responsible for System monitoring and alerts including Network security alerts
- Support of the company’s virtual and physical servers and related equipment.
- Support all application and system software upgrades and maintenance.
- Implementation of software upgrades.
- Monitor nightly backups and perform audits to ensure they are functioning successfully.
- Restore data as requested. Qualification / Experience Requirement:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant technical experience / expertise in: Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Server VMware, NetApp, Meraki Network: Router, Switch, Firewall, Wireless, Linux & Data Center.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related technical field
- BioMedical experience preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Proven record of completing projects on-time and to specification
